Raviindra 2002

Raviindra unfolds a dense cosmos of sound with eclipsing exotic rhythms and modal polyphonic sounds that have a magic effect. Raviindra takes the listener by the hand makes his heart dance. Harmonical influences of indian, brazilian and african music go together with modal bebop-chorusses, clever sound patterns and live-electronics that comes in a moderate way. All is connected to a contemporary type of playing the acoustic jazz, thus meeting the universal requirements of world music in a honest way. Frankness, curiosity, tolerance, beeing capable of two-way communication as well as getting spiritually into the unknown - that ist Raviindra.

          Baumgärtner (sax.), Nils Tannert (marimba, perc.), Andrés Schreiber (viol.), Alwin
          Pütsch (didj.), Mahdi Milla (perc.), Omri Hason (perc.), Andieh Merk (tabla, fl.) and
          Raviindra Ralf "Ralle" Fricker (dr.perc.comp.)

1998 - presentation of the Cd and concerts with the ethno singer Nani Tschauner from
          Frankfurt second award at the multi-cultural music competition "Querbeet" from SWR

2003 - Raviindra meets India - India meets Raviindra (Tour).
          CD Release Raviindra "GOA" and 30-years-on-stage-jubilee.
